Cabaye stays
We sign a kid
We get a loanee
We re employ Kinnear
We lose 2 decent squad players (Perch and Simmo)
We get some gates back

Class summer that!

Didn't even try to get anybody. With our paper thin squad I thought we'd try and bring a body or two in just to make the numbers up.

Another good piece by NUFC.com by the way.

In other news, a ****e last day for Sunderland. Lost their best player to West Brom who they play away soon and have had a great day. Signed Sess, Camp, Amalfitano (the good one) and appear to have retained Long. They have Arsenal at home next, Ozil euphoria and all.

They signed fragile Borini on loan and Dossena who on all known evidence is shocking. To be fair it does get better for them with the a fully strengthened Liverpool and Man U plus Feillani and Contreau (maybe) after the West Brom game.

 Silver linings.

Is it bad that I consider this a good window because we didn't lose anyone else (Cabaye, Ben Arfa, Krul, etc.) ala the Carroll mess? I really expected to lose a couple of our "purple" players and I never expected to sign anyone, so it was a great window! (he said, clutching at straws...)

The whole transfer world has gone mad.

Ozil is worth £42m and Fellani is worth £27m.

Mind you if Bale is worth £85m then its all relative I suppose.

Joe Kinnear must have told Arsene Wenger that Cabaye was worth £30m....hence no renewed bid. !

We just have to get on with it now and hope we dont get any injuries. My main concern is that if we need to mix it up to get a result there just isnt the quality on the bench. Could be worse. We could be David Moyes. He's been let down there. Ozil going to Arsenal when he is exactly what they needed must be a kick in the nuts

The imposters who turned up 'representing' man united trying to sign that Herrera. Was it Joe Kinnear pissed?
