Southampton Football Club on Twitter:

"Our third deadline-day departure sees Lee Barnard join npower League 1 side @OfficialOAFC on loan until the end of the season. #saintsfc"

C'mon, last-minute bid for Nathan Redmond. Birmingham has to be looking at their accounts and squirming right now.

They can't. Really, there will be a reckoning there, whether they stay up or not; this doesn't simply commit them to leaking money this year.

Not right though if they stay up at the cost of someone else. Mustn't throw too many stones though, because we don't know how we are financed...though not as profligate as QPR that's for certain.

Simon Peach on Twitter:

"Lee Barnard has left #SaintsFC to join #OAFC on loan until the end of the season. One more still to depart St Mary's tonight..."

Simon Peach on Twitter:

"I have said for days that I did not expect any new players to arrive at #SaintsFC before the transfer deadline. That stance remains the same."

FFS . I think our squad is fine but not if we get injuries .

I posted a few days ago that perhaps MP feels our squad overall is good enough , I hope he thinks that and that he is correct .......

Simon Peach is like Cassandra...doomed to speak the truth and not be believed.

Poor guy. It would temporarily make him more popular if he was to throw some wild speculations about. Obviously this would backfire horribly at 11:01pm, but live for the moment Simon!

For the record I believe him...I just won't admit it!

What are the chances of Spurs going in for Odemwingie? He's in London, is desperate to leave and Spurs are actively looking for a striker.
