Have you ever seen Maiga or Roux play before? I won't be judging either until I see them play a few games!
 
I honestly have never seen any of our current striking targets play in a first team game. Never heard of any of them until mentioned in the papers.
 
Not going to get my hopes up after what happened with Pieters, but I hope to god it's true. Would forsake another striker until January just to get him in.
 
Wouldn't mind Pavlachenko and Santon in. That would atleast shut the mouths of every single pundit in the nation.

Not to mention, they're cracking players!

They would still say we were going down but I don't mind I think it makes the lads try harder
 
Pav on his day is a class act though IMO, although he is inconsistent.. a loan deal wouldn't do no harm IMO. <ok>

Inter Milan full-back Davide Santon is in talks to join Newcastle, according to the player's agent.

The Italy international is under contract with the Serie A giants until June 2014 and is also a reported target of Roma.

"At this time there is no possibility that Santon can join Roma because right now the aim is Newcastle," said Santon's agent Claudio Vigorelli to Corriere dello Sport.

The 20-year-old has been with Inter since 2008 and made 16 appearances in all competitions during the first half of last season before going on loan in the second half of the campaign and making 11 league appearances for Cesena.

5 mio is a lot for a 20 year old with not much regular football experience. We gonna stick him right in the side? Useful as cover and in the future but looks like it's Raylor at lb this season.
