Played very well yesterday. Thought he went through pretty much the whole match untroubled and seems to love going forward. Even in the last minute! Considering that is only his what 4th 5th start? and he had nani in his pocket for large periods of the game. A player who I think is Man U's best. Well done Davide

Was very impressed. He'll only improve with age and as he adapts to the physical nature of the league. One of the world's best prospects at full back, still cant believe we signed him.

Was aggressive and comfortable on the ball going forward, and yet was always in position when Man U was attacking. It's obvious how much more pace and positional awareness he has compared to Raylor.

He did well. Was a bit lightweight at times but he'll get used to the English game.

He is 100% a right back tho, pretty much evertime he touches the ball or passes it he uses his right foot, or looks to cut inside onto his right and run towards the centre. Never a long term LB! Santon at RB next season, with a new LB.

Positionally he was caught out a few times. He was too far away from Colo on a few occasions which left a gap for the diagonal through ball to the overlapping Valencia. However I don't think Jonas helped by getting in his way sometimes. Other than that I though he was excellent.

Looked brilliant, made some amazing surging forward runs that Enrique wouldn't have had the boldness to do. Felt far safer at the back too with him in place of R Taylor. Just needs extra work but certainly that should come in the form of appearances now because he seems good to go.

He was absolutely superb. For the first 10 minutes Man United tried giving it to Nani every time they got the ball, and every time Santon out-paced, out-strengthened and just generally dominated him.

Also, sorry to go off track but on the subject of Nani: I assume everyone saw Tiote send him flying with a shoulder-barge in the last minute? Brilliant. <laugh>

Was Nani playing last night?

I thought Santon looked great last night, he has improved a lot, most importantly, I think he's beginning to toughen up.

I couldn't believe it when we signed him, only came about in one day, thought it was a hoax, i knew him from FM and he's always had the potential so to speak but he looks a class act here, touch is a different class for a defender and composure is top notch, reads the game well for a young lad too so doesnt get too far out of position, was worried about losing Enrique but have to say he's filled in perfectly and could become even better than Enrique!
