It's a bit of strange feeling for me.

My Mum was a massive fan and I grew up to hearing him whilst my mum happily boogied round the house whilst cleaning and going about her chores and whilst the family and friends visited.

It's a bit odd as I feel like a bit of my memory from childhood has passed away. Sad to see him go, was always different and had bucket loads of charisma and was very dynamic. Something that is missing from todays politically correct world where everyone has a pigeon hole.

A true icon who was never really my cuppa but some songs will resonate through the ages and I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all his fans

RIP

He first changed his name to David Jay after Peter Jay and the Jaywalkers who were good friends. They were from Norwich City college, and i believe Peter is big at Yarmouth pier nowadays.
