An italian journalist is saying we've all but signed him. To be honest he's better than debuchy. (and younger) This has to come of if debuchy's going to leave, but i doubt we'll see the deal completed until holland an france are knocked out.

Lots of reports a few days ago that Man United wanted to sign him - but then again that's been said about almost the entire Dutch squad cos of LVG.

This would be brilliant business. I actually like the thought of having Richards, but Janmaat is a cut above. The only problem I have with it is we seem to be a defensive FB type of club. Also means Santon's first choice LB again.

Be a very good signing if as expected Debuchy departs. Can he not bring De Vrij and Martins Indi with him?

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

That is all.

France going out may be good for us in this. MA would not sanction the signing of Janmaat in advance Debuchy leaving, but his move to Arsenal should now happen fairly quickly if rumours are to be believed. the exit of France may also see us move sooner for Cabella - if we are really interested.

This could well be the start of a real domino affect, and not just for Debuchey.

Hope it is the case - not yet as good as Debuchy but has plenty of time to get there. This is probably why we will sell him to Arsenal for £8M - probably half the wage and a couple of million in the bank!

Not so sure about this one if this is true...

Manchester United have been told to increase their offer for Netherlands and Feyenoord defender, Daryl Janmaat, if they want to land the 24-year-old this summer.

With just one year left on his contract, the Red Devils are believed to have made a £4m bid for the player’s services to the Eredivisie side recently.

But according to The Daily Star, Feyenoord will only accept an offer of £7m for the right-back – who is currently with the Netherlands squad at the World Cup in Brazil.

The publication says that United will need to act quick, though, with Newcastle also reported to be keen on signing Janmaat as a replacement for Mathieu Debuchy, who is closing in on a move to Arsenal.

Janmaat joined Feyenoord from fellow Dutch outfit Heerenveen in 2012, and has made two Champions League appearances in 2012/13 and a further eight in the Europa League.

Can't see us outbidding Man United, or us appealing to him more than them and LVG. Hope I'm wrong tho.

All other sources say Man Utd aren't actually interested in this chap.
If Man Utd are spending £30m on one fullback you'd think they wouldn't be looking to spend peanuts on the other side of the park.

Hope this does come off. He's looked top tonight. And brave, not afraid of a clash of heads! Could use some of those guts in our team.
