This doesn’t seem to be going away.

Would love the lad, reckon he’d probably be the most talented left back since Olivier.

Would anyone be bothered about his mackem links?

Reckon his wage demand would be too high. Bring back David Edgar, have him on the left :emoticon-0102-bigsm

ive always rated him. It doesn’t matter to me if a player is an ex Mackem. Them down the road hounded Clarky and Chops out but that’s their business...
 
I'd take him.

**** if they played for Sunderland. It's like a heroin addict mate, you can't hold bad decisions against them..
 
Think he is an excellent attacking full back and would happily take him. Can't imagine that we have any chance of getting him. He has been angling for a move from Spurs due to low salary. Can't imagine we would be willing to pay him more.
 
I'd take him all day long even if I think he has gone down a few levels in last couple of years. Obviously a troubled soul at times away from the pitch and doesn't profess to love football. Mind David Batty largely claimed football was just a job to him. They reckon once a game finished he didn't even get showered. Just put his gear on and headed home.

His mental fortitude to cope with things at St James would be my worry. It can either be a great or terrible place to play football depending how the fans take to you. He seems to have a chip on his shoulder at times which I don't think would bode well.

It certainly wouldn't if it was a Cheesy one.
 
Favourites to sign him according to SSN. Be a class signing if he came. Doubt he will like. Seems one of those who’s stubborn and will play down his contract.
 
Well knock me down with a feather. When this loan deal was first muted, l for one thought no bloody chance, but it looks like he is going to sign.
The option to buy in the summer totally amazes me too.
 
So, Danny Rose is signing up. Good move from us, all of these are loans with opportunity to buy.

Just saying - makes sense that we would bring them in as loans now and the Arabs will use their money later down the line...
