The only City player I'd put in a fantasy team would be a midfielder who was the penalty/freekick taker and had a good record (*cough* not Brady ffs *cough*). The rest will lose too many points through conceding goals or not pickk enough up through scoring a lot. You're usually better with the midtable teams and a few stars, that way you can tweak the team selection to play the midtable players playing against relegation teams each week. (Christian Ziege and Ian Harte were legendary left backs to have, played for reasonable teams so didn't concede too many and scored a load as free kick takers)
... more or less my point ... i.e after you've picked your 'main men' and you only have a few million left - if you still needed a forward I doubt many would go for DG ... the Swans fan on the last page very much reflects my assessment although, admittedly, I only saw 3 games down there and he mostly came on as a sub ...
Probably just wtong as they're the only ones reporting any different, but The Northern Echo say Graham's move is a £5m permanent deal: http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/10554834._/
Id be stunned of we paid £5m for a player they're desperate to get rid of. Watch this space but IF it is permanent I'd bet my arse it's officially undisclosed and the media will just guess at the figure. If we pay more than £3.5m then we've been silly.
his spell at Sunderland shouldn't have 'enhanced' his price tag - we paid £1.5m for Chris Wood and I'd find it difficult trying to justify that DG is a better player - I wouldn't expect you to go higher than £2m for a permanent deal myself.
I'd prefer this deal to be permanent but I think five million is too much given. I'd be happy with 3.5.
I think Graham is far a better player. One thing Chris Wood is, is effective. But for such a big lad he's cack in the air and has the touch of a donkey wearing a clowns shoes on the wrong feet. I'm not sure how good graham is in the air in all honesty, but he has a grace with the ball at his feet which Chris Wood just does not have. But wood always seems to have an exceptional calmness, you could throw a brick at his head when he's 1 on 1 and I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't notice anything til he'd taken his shot.
If it's a permanent it will be a lower fee than 5m with a few add ons probably taking it up to that amount. say an extra £1m every goal until he get to 3, so after a couple of seasons the fee will be closer to what we got ripped off with. (sorry, couldn't resist) Better if he gets bought outright as can't see him coming back to us.
He's arriving at the training camp in Portugal tomorrow and he'll have his medical there, so as long as there's no issues, he should be confirmed this week. And there's still rumours of someone else having a medical here at the moment, I presume it's Briand(as he's French speaking).
Try Before U Buy. Actually you are correct. It should be TBYB but i use "U" instead of "you" in text speak. Indeed. Well spotted. Yes they are. Looks like the knee is good also. When it comes to Bullsh.it your already upto you neck in it, Oh wiffy one. Now now, dont be that harsh on yourself. Someone must love you. ? Is he not on trial with the Wendies at the moment ? More pressing is finding someone for Cammy Stewart. So is Nick Thompson.
I just realised there's a 1 in howevermanyblackfrenchspeakingpeoplethereare chance that it could be Bernard Mendy. In a WB role, I imagine he'd be even better than before! EDIT: Didn't realise he was going out with Lucy Hughes!
Hmm, as well as Briand or Amalfitano, it also adds Sagbo in to the possibilities - born and raised in France (though plays nationally for Ivory Coast), so I imagine he speaks French too.
