I am not sure that he really fits in with our front men anyway. When you see the generosity of Lambert, lallana and jayrod all playing for each other, I think they would get sick to death of Danni trying ridiculous shots from no hope positions. Apart from that goal, that is my abiding memory of his style of play.
Great risk in bringing him back. Let's hope someone makes a decent offer.

Rodriguez takes a few speculative shots as well, but at least he works hard for the rest of team too (and in fairness some of them have been flying in).

I do find Jay slightly odd sometimes. One feels that he has the power to practically burst the net when shooting, but all of his speculative shots have dip and swerve to them. He hardly ever just puts his laces through the ball. His other type of shot is highly measured stuff, whether it is to pass the ball into the net or make that beautiful finish against Fulham at the Cottage. Tbf, he did a full power shot with his 2nd against Newcastle.

Yes, I could see it too, but he wasn't involved enough for me. Of course, the attention was on him from the start, and one expected him to do something well with each touch of the ball, so perhaps it was as much over-expectation as anything else, but I hoped for better from him, one utterly superb goal apart.
 
I would take the £7m just to get rid of him and frees up a large wage bill.
Sometimes you have to cut your losses and accept we made a mistake.
Use this to get Ings or Rhodes who don't have to settle in England and know what its all about

Rhodes?? You can't be serious. No where near the quality we need to bring in if we want to progress. If we want to be breaking into the top 7 next season we have to be setting our sights a bit higher than that.
 
In the Schneiderlin interview thread, he said that Dani was talented, but felt the weight of his price tag and couldn't adapt to our training schedule. Does suggest that we may be best to look for someone familiar with English football but young enough to respond to training in our style. Temperament is very important in our team. Ings seems a good shout.

I think he very carefully said that Dani was a big time charlie who thought he was better than the rest. Diplomat Morgan next career.
