I dont think he is as good as all the hype and is not up to the standard to be in the United first team.....A bottom half premiership club he may have a chance of first team football but a waste at any of the big clubs.....He was not even our best player, So i think we have had a fantastic deal at the end of the day.....

If Dan is really getting £67k per week, then he’s had the most fantastic and the best deal of all!

Who do you think was our best player last season Dai ?

Don't get me wrong on james but like most young players the move to big clubs they are star struck and go for the money and that is their choice. But he really needed another season with us playing regular football in the first team to prove himself and if he had done well and make a name for himself he would have clubs clambering all over themselves trying to buy him and he would have got a better payday and a much better transfer fee which he would get a percentage of. My only hope he has not jumped the gun and end up like a lot of young players who end up forgotten playing in front of small crowds in the 3rd or 4th teams...He is a rookie afterall having only one season under his belt....

The other (down)side of that coin is he has a bad season and his price will go down or no-one will want him. If he does well, he would still be picked up and have to still make his name again. Now he is a year ahead with the same chance. It's a bird in the hand situation.

If he has a bad season then everyone would know he was a one season wonder and nobody will want him....

He would be better for him and United if they loaned him back for a season like i see what is happening at other clubs. First team football in the championship is more beneficial than playing in United's 2nd,3rd or even 4th team.....Good luck to him and i hope he dont become a forgotten player...

Great attitude by the boy and as long as he improves then he may make the first team maybe next season or the season after. United have so many players figting for a place who are above the new youngsters....They are the future.....They want 6 more youngsters yet.....
