Was said on the radio that he was at Man UTD discussing personal terms yet the clubs have not agreed a deal. How the **** can that happen.
Well he met all the Leeds players, had a medical and had photos taken in ‘his’ Leeds jersey in January ...... That a fact TLF - has it from a family member!
But at that stage we had agreed a deal only to pull out, I am only going on what was said in that no fee or deal had yet been agreed. is that not different. I know he is going to go, but surely the correct order is they make an offer we agree and then they discuss personal terms prior to the move.
Good luck to the lad.....This is what playing football and striving for is all about....This is only the first stage of his journey as the next is whether he is good enough for the first team as dont forget he has only had one season in the spotlight......To me Sinclair was a much all around player with much more experience and he could not get anywhere near Man City's second team let alone the first team. £15m is a fantastic deal for Swansea and a good deal for the lad as it is in his hands how much further he will go....Someone i was talking to today said he will be loaned back to us for the coming season.......Don't quote me on that as i have not heard anything on that coming out of the Liberty...
If we get 15m and he comes back to us for the season all good. I wonder whether that will change with the departure of Potter.
I know £15M seems a steel, but he only has 1 year left on his contract, usual club ineptitude............
Very sad news indeed, he lad's head will be all over the place and I can speak from a very similar position.
Its a case of two separate negotiations. The two clubs to agree the transfer arrangement and then the player/agent with buying club too agree the personal terms. These can take place in parallel and are somewhat dependant upon each being agreed.
I am happy for the lad that a team like Man utd see him with great potential but even they know he has very little experience and think it is worth the chance on him......They may just let him have another season playing first team football with us as it is unlikely he will get first team football at united, He has not played good with every game for us because of some good defenders he was up against and the Premiership will be tough every game. He really needs first team football for another season just for experience.... Whatever united choose to do i wish him the best of luck. I see his Dad has past away and his head will be all over the place at the moment. What a horrible time for this to happen.....RIP
Terrible tragedy at such an otherwise happy time for the family, seeing their son make this career move to the top of the game, deepest sympathy and condolences to the family and all concerned..................
As much as I’d love him to be with us next year this is a good deal for us if the £18m figure is true. To cut our deficit by half in one trade is a good job and should hopefully mean we don’t have to sell any more of our promising talents. Get rid of the Ayew’s next
A loss on the playing side, but you're probably right that losing one player for that fee is better than losing 4 or 5 to try and get to that figure. Good business. Just need the fee to come as a lump rather than spread out over 3 years. Wonder what your manager thinks of that? Or indeed if it sends a message to potential suitors.
