Still annoys the **** out of me that we went through thay period where they sol the future of the club for 50p and half a curly wurly! The ****ing arseholes were here short term and didn't give a **** they sold lads that would be playing for us in 4 or 5 years (about now), all to keep the lights on and sign Will I don't even want to be here but the moneys too good Grigg!
Mumba and greenwood are 2 that annoy me most given both would be in the first team now, hugill even especially given our situation upfront, let’s hope this next batch we have coming through behave more of a chance
It appears TM isn't exactly sure what the model is either. What exactly is the model anyway? Younger than KLD, earn less than some multiple of Speakman's salary, transfer fee < average gate????
Taking your post literally and piecing together how we’ve been recruiting, I reckon the model is: The bottom line is to bring in talented, young players who have high potential. Paying as little as possible for them. As well as youth, technique and ability are favoured over size*. Stamina and speed strongly favoured, as is having played a high number of games at a reasonable level. Attitude and commitment viewed with equal importance to football ability. If an experienced, high quality player becomes available for a low price then they will also be considered. * I don’t think we’re going out of our way to sign smaller / lighter players, more that they have been the easier ones to get when we were in League 1 and just getting promoted into the Championship. We’ll be more able to compete for the stronger, more powerful young players now.
I only hope some club is daft enough to pay for him. No pace. Can't tackle Passing poor Doesn't score. Always a mistake in him Very overrated
Weird how statistically he's our best tackler after Hume and his passing stats including assists are among the best at the club.
Was absolutely garbage today. Keeps pissing about with the ball and again losing it. I don't think he is good enough to do what he is trying to do. That's why he loses it and we pay the price.
The whole team had a bad game and to be fair he had no chance in midfield on his own. He is still one of our best players but badly missing an experienced midfielder (Evans) alongside him. I get the model we are following but we need some experience mixed in with the youth otherwise we have no chance.
Lose 5-1 so let's all go after the local lad. It's such an odd thing in our fanbase- Pickford apart, the local lads always get grief
