As there was no thread already up I thought I would start one to get a decent value each way selection up early.

York
4.10 Bedloes Island 12-1 EW

This horse was backed quite heavily in his last race only to finish down the field. However not much went right for him that day and should the ground be a little better at York tomorrow odds of 12-1 in a similar grade race that was previously backed down to 15-8 to win is a great price. The horse that won that day Jack Luey will once again make a bold show and not be an easy horse to beat but at the prices Bedloes Island is definitely the bet with 4 places being paid.

Good luck all.

York
4.10 Ubetterbegood 20/1 e/w

Sandown
4.55 Soul Intent 10/1

Navan
6.55 Joe Eile 7/1 NAP

Good
7.25 Goodwood Mirage 4/1
8.00 Mombasa 7/1

Currently golfing in Turkey and one of the lads has a horse with Gay Kelleway, been told they expect a big run from SOUL OF MOTION in the Sandown opener today. Also keep an eye on Mikeys pair at Goodwood tonight. KIMBERELLA is expected to improve back in trip and they are keen on BRAVO ECHO.

One I really like today is ocean storm in the 2-40 at sandown. ran a decent race last time i felt and am hoping to see it go one better today.

Good luck one and all <cheers>

Morning, crew. Hope everyone on board well. Excellent tip on Cushion yesterday, Dan. She bolstered her worth with that win.

Nothing for me today but on behalf of everyone, and I do mean everyone, on the forum may I wish Mr Henderson’s good pal, old boy Henry Ponsonby (the forum’s second favourite owner), a very happy 65th birthday. Let’s hope he has a richly deserved belated birthday present courtesy of Lieutenant Miller at Royal Ascot in 4 days hence.

Good luck, all.

Putting yesterday's disappointment behind me, I have been told that there is some confidence (though by no means a certainty) that Robert Cowell's first 2yo runner of the year should give a good account of himself at York today.

2.00 York GRANDE MAGO 16/1

I was swithering on this one before this post but I'm gonna back it now.

Just this and an EW Bispham Green being rode by Tony Hamilton in the 4:10 at York should give me adequate excuse to break up Friday afternoon at work.

He's only 3 and against more experienced horses but he's well down in the weights today and has a win over a similar dash distance (albeit on the all-weather) in the bag.

Best of luck to all <ok>

Another near sell out at Goodwood tonight and apart from Goodwood Mirage who i'm going to go pretty big on anyone else found anything of interest thats worth a penny or 2.

Further evidence that Cowell's like GRANDE MAJO - they've made an entry for the Norfolk Stakes this morning.

On e/w at 22s PN. Hoping for some late money to boost confidence.
