Agree mate, but the warning signs are there and if they're flitting between chasing and hurdling then it could be no-one knows what to do with the horse, his performance in the Cheltenham race was disappointing to say the least and his formline from the last 12 months reads 5/11 4/6 UR 4/8

Oddy D Glaizer fancied to run well danger is the macain horse sydney

Just been sent Scriptwriter from my mate who has Alloro, The Slacks think it has a great EW chance in the last at Haydock(ex Wylie/Johnson), should be a decent price

I think they probably sent Menorah back hurdling just to get a bit of confidence in him and maybe just to get a run in! His future definitely lies over fences I expect him to win well today. To be fair he was all over the winner when he unseated and he travelled well!

I don't think he can be written off after one outing and he blatantly needs further than 2 miles!

Having said all that no chance I'm backing him at 1/5 <laugh>

Morning Quel totally agree about SALUBRIOUS - has opened up at 13/2 and that is a good bet. Returned with sore shins after run at Aintree and remains an
    exciting prospect now hurdling.

THE REFORMER is the NAP today in the last at Taunton. I think a mark of 128 is workable for this one and with Ryan Mahon taking off a further 3lbs I am very confident he will run a big race today. This one goes well fresh and has had a breathing operation over the summer. 4/1 seems fair enough

These two in singles and in a big lucky 15 with two more for Nicholls BLACK THUNDER, TED SPREAD

Off out - good luck all

Interesting to see they are taking Walkon over 2m2f rather than 2m5 tomorrow. I hope he wins against Cue Card, For Non Stop et al and they go for the Arkle. Can but hope.

Two bets in the first two races, the one already mentioned and then Bubbly Ballerina who I think will get a good pace to run off and I think she can defy her handicap mark on her return to racing.

Lots of readers on the thread, good to see you all reading and I hope you all join in on the thread in the new year.

1st day using betfair lol :D- only backing today not laying

RV- i agree with you on The Reformer likewise it is my NAP today- @ 4/1 looks a bit of value.

I also like ted spread and Zama Zama.

And have had a little punt on Tarimbleu- would like to see the old boy win today.

Also have done a couple of small e/w trebles-

Zama Zama, Hopeful start & Laudaroty (All McCoys rides) - 43/1

Black Thunder, The Reformer, Ted Spread (all Nicholls) - 23/1

    (my trebles are with skybet)

    GL to all today,

Morning all - wonderful xmas holiday break, don't go back to work until the 6th :)

Lots of opportunities to lose money!

Today I like Mister Dillon in the 12.40 Taunton, Rowan Tiger in the very trappy looking 14.20 Taunton and Jaunty Journey in the 14.35 at Haydock in what should be a great race with all entries in with a shout!

    Good luck all <ok>

I spent ages looking at that 2-00 Haydock race Red - Santa's Son would have been my hopeful selection, with the emphasis on hope! On his first run this season you'd have no doubts, but his second run just 20 odd days later he was 46 lengths off the winner - and that's enough to put me off him. Good luck though :)

On a side issue i went to a hire place today to get a chainsaw for the few big branches that fell the other day in the high winds. What a right pain in the backside that was...!!! I had to fill in a questionaire about the possibilities of miss use...

What i was going to use it for...?
What would you do if you hurt yourself using it...?
What would you do if you hurt someone else...?
Who would you call if there was an accident...?

Then they gave me a dvd to watch at home to show me how to use it, and the mistakes people make in using the thing... Anyway the cost of me renting it until next tuesday put me off... £240... So im now borrowing one off a mate of mine for a few pints of beer... Apparently using a chainsaw is responsible for more accidents in the home than any other piece of equipment...

Hopefully i wont be drinking the beers whilst using the chainsaw...!!!
As shown in the dvd...!!! <laugh><laugh>

Cyc, unfortunately the lad on him went too soon and it cost him in the end. That ground is dreadful.
