Not that slow bloke. Drove a flash car. Trying to think what we called him but it's probably not him anyway. Dubes or something
 
Another one was Rob someone (often appears on TV). Think he played for Newcastle though so that would have got a mention if it was him. Blood names are escaping me tonight
 
Another one I thought of is Simon Garner but it can't be him either, given he came from WBA

Wrong so far chaps. Let me try and think of another clue to make it even easier....
He spent probably the largest part of his career ( which was only around 3-4yrs) at Coventry City.
He could run the 100m in 11.4seconds with footie boots on
 
Neither had I. Had to look it up. Name doesn't ring a bell either
