Stuart - I don't know why you are fixated by tampax (it is a brand which would get no additional revenue from sponsoring a club and its target market is not football fans - if you want to link companies with our name at least use those which have used ground sponsorship or shirt sponsorship, as those companies are likely to want to sponsor a club name))assuming the fan's participation thing had been set up when Allam brought the club (where he said he would run it as a business) exactly how would it work on this one issue of the name change, as Allam says it is good for the club and the fans (knowing who would want to be on this group) participation group would say no it isn't good for the club so which point of view would prevail

And I don't understand why you continue to stick your head in the sand.

I posited Hull Tampax but it could be anything.

Once we change our name we are no longer Hull City.

We are just a football club with variable name playing in a rented stadium.

This could be Rotterdam or Rome.

the issue about whether the name change will mean that is a different club is one which has two completely different views. i presume you will no longer be seen at the KC then Stuart - as it will not be the club you have supported for x number of years, whereas others (notice no percentage as no one can say the true figure) will take the view that the club is essentially the same as last season even with the name change. which is right depends on which side of the fence you are sitting on BUT with more foreign owners in the game, one day one owner will put forward the name change, it just happened to be Allam, then it is the road the game will go down and in 50 years time football will be very different (like it is now compared to 50 years ago) and the name changes are likely to be one of the least worse options if you think what else will happen.

<laugh>

No.

It will be a new club.

The existing one is Hull City and has been for 110 years.

It's the club YOU support.

Or will any football team do ?

Where do you lot get this from? No-one has said the CTWD aim is ownership; it is for fans' participation (as the good Doctor once proposed himself....).

Do stop making things up or, at least, catch up.

I don't see any point in referring back to anything 'the Doctor, good or bad says, as he has proven he cannot be trusted to lie straight in bed.

Aren't you the one that doesn't go to games as a protest for getting caught being untrustworthy?

I am the one who go's when I like because I want to .. when I choose and what game I choose .. this club does not run my life ... unlike many on here and CTWD it seems ... quite sad really as most are older and (I hoped) wiser than me ..

oh dear

So you lied when you said you don't go as a protest. You've a history of dishonesty and a record of clueless ****wittery and precious little City support. No wonder you begged to be banned, you look a bigger fool with every post.

because I am a fan .. not a supporters group . I don't answer to anyone ... CTWD do however and today made themselves look silly .. I am neither for or against the name change but you guys are looking more and more desperate each statement .

and so you can copy paste on the other thread .. :

I stopped going after boxing day 2008 .. I gave my season ticket to a young lad that season after that as I refused to go after then ...

since then I work 3 weekends out of 4 so cannot afford to buy a pass and still support including hosting a chat site for overseas fans .. when I can go I go ... .. I maintain my right to go when I want .. as much or as little as I want .. I am as much as a fan as you .. as we both just want to see the 11 on the pitch do the best they can and hopefully get a result ...

or do you >??

You're not a fan, you're a consumer with a history of being untrustworthy.

target market ... plus a sponsor ...

any more ?

If you're trying to imply you have inside knowledge, you'll have no problem knowing what I mean if I mention the man in the striped suit. You'll have no problem saying which other item of clothing fits?

That's not very difficult, tbh.

Perhaps you'd like to go public on your own salary, dotto?

So you're taking the piss that most of us on here are full-time fans? Explains why you can't understand the fundamentals of being a football fan.

Nah, it was fine even including that. It's been explained why the initial summary is as much as we're getting and I think most people see the sense in those reasons.

The initial summary and explanation were unacceptable and they might well be as much as we're getting (at the moment), but I have seen nothing at all that supports your argument that 'most people see the sense in those reasons.'; certainly not on these boards. Leave out OLM, Obadiah and you, and then give me a brief range of examples that support your statement. I am a supporter of CTWD and I argue robustly for the principle it stands for, but I am becoming increasingly concerned at the high-handed arrogance that is being used to defend a questioned point. The complicated reasons for not issuing the minutes are becoming unravelled and supporters, not gullible ones, but supporters none-the-less , are beginning to wonder just how much the campaign thinks it can manipulate its members.
I think it is time you reconsidered your approach, because it's answers I'm looking for, not arguments; but if you want one then so-be-it.

I've read the statements - OSC are playing into Allam's hands by releasing such a fence-sitting, limp-wristed statement. They're akin to the Austrians rolling out the red carpet in Vienna for Hitler..

Stinks of "ignore CTWD, they want to take the ball home and it's not fair, Miss" or "We basically will stand by and let the name change go ahead cos we're all pally with Mr Allam and we may or may not get perks accordingly if we succeed in ushering this motion through"

Not what's needed.

Poor form.

So, CTWD are bang right in issuing a separate statement because I smell a rat with the OSC.

As a discussion point it'ss bleeding absorbing, that's why! <doh>
