Anita will only be asked when two are out. If we'd signed Debuchy then we'd have sold Simpson. Debuchy is injured so Anita still would have been required to fill in now. I agree I'd worry about him more against a top winger, but I worry even more about him in midfield where he is struggling. Everyone just needs to be patient with him, he'll get it eventually.

It's only two games in, so too early to judge, but I personally don't think he's been bad, and certainly not one of the worst ones so far.

He's had big shoes to fill with Tiote.

His passing has been hot and cold, sometimes great sometimes not, but I think that's mainly due to him still getting settled in the side.

His tackling has mainly been good. He's put in quite a few precise tackles.

I don't really think he's struggling, he's just gonna take a bit of time, like Tiote did.

Tash is a TOON supporter and a regular poster. He might not be everyone's cup of tea but he know's his football and is accepted by all. You on the other hand aren't a TOON supporter and I'm fed up getting complaints about you. I can do without the hassle so go post on the board of the team you support or go on a long holiday. Your choice!

I'd have to say he is struggling (like all foreign players do) with the pace. He looks like he has no time on the ball, and his passing has been very hit and miss. Unfortunately when you think you have more time than you do, which is the problem he's experiencing, you end up playing panic passes. I'm not worried at all having seen him at Ajax a little. Its easy for players like Tiote who get through on brute force. Cabaye spoiled us a little last year as he adapted very quickly, Solano and such like are better gauges to use. Anita will come good and has already shown little touches of class.

Its just a question of time and patience. No shame in admitting that he's struggling. As I say I thought Solano would never adapt because he was so weak. He got pushed about for a year and a half. but is a great example of why fans need to be patient if they really want to see the best of players. Colo is probably another shining example.
