Derry in til end of season, then a search for a good European coach who knows the market and can bring in some talent on a tight budget, players who are hungry to progress and show they can get to the PL either with us or earning a move and money for the club. The academy players aren't good enough it seems, so we need to recruit.

Who was our last foreign coach? Sousa? Di Canio?

We need to do something different and shake up this squad

It's much much harder to recruit from Europe now so not sure this is a viable option.

Another heart over head decision, just because you played for us shouldn’t make you the right man for the job. That also applies to Teflon Les.

Agree, nice story if Ainsworth comes back, former player and popular with the fans and all that...is he the right man though? Not sure, and would be a shame to taint his standing as a fans favourite as Les seems to be doing with many on here.

It seems to be more difficult to bring in players and managers to the lower leagues. The more experienced at a high level overseas, the more likely to get a visa.

Yeah - anywhere we are likely to attract players from is a lot less likely than it used to be, unless the player has enough international caps from a decent national side.

Bucks Free press ...my local rag says it is a done deal for Ainsworth.

At the moment I am not a fan. His wycombe team play route 1 football, hoof it and hope.

He may be cutting his cloth etc...but can he adjust to "superstars" with "superstar" egos...and what will he do with Chair and Willock.

I will support him of course...but fear this could end in tears

Apparently it’s not all route one football & they do play good attacking football, and at the moment we are not playing anything except slow & side to side football,
If that’s the boards choice in Gareth I will except that & give him my support

He did alright with Chair when he had him on loan Beth. But other than that, this stinks of desperado. I think we're ****ed. Ferdinand needs to go. We need one person answerable to scrutiny. And that has to be the manger. Not the Director of Football, not the CEO and not Amit Bhatia who has gone missing?
