No, he's not and anyone who has been on these forums for any length of time would know it. I think you should withdraw your rather objectionable post. And by the way I don't know ILD or anything about him except as a contributor to our forums.

I just think some of the statements/comments on this thread are totally unbelievable!!

Morison=possibly one of the players of the season
Hotlips=going along way to becoming a Norwich legend

One bad game and the cattle forks are being thrust in the air!!

I think some people are forgetting where we were two seasons ago, running on the pitch and throwing our season tickets at Bryan Gunn, what next Lamberts head for making some tactical mistakes against sunderland?

To me it stinks, and so no im afraid i wont remove my comment!!

NO I'M NOT. I also resent that remark.
I went to my first game around 1959 and have been supporting my club ever since. What about you????

This does seem a slightly odd discussion to me. My interpretation of ILD's comments is that Morison is not as good as Jackson when out wide, and I would tend to agree. Indeed one of the commentators on the stream kept saying if Morison was on instead of Jackson, then the chances would have been converted, that seemed to miss the point that one of the front two is going to have to pull wide to stretch the defence and play the channels and it could well have been Morison if he'd been playing because that is the role he's asked to play. It is also something that Morison does well and HAS to do, otherwise the whole team play would be sacrificed. I also agree that he is at his best playing the goal poaching role, but that only works if the team tactic is to play that way, which it isn't. To me, he is simply playing the way he is told to play and does it to the best of ability and is continuing to improve.

For a discussion forum there does seem to be problem when one makes criticisms of the team, or even suggestions as to where improvements could be made. People seem to think that this is a wholesale indictment on the team, when it simply opinions of areas for further improvement. As a team we continue to need to make improvements, even if we were pushing for a champions league spot, there would areas where we could improve. This does not in anyway negate our achievements over the last three seasons and i don't think I've ever seen a post which argues against the fantastic rise and fabulous position we are in.

Fair comment longsight, its just some of the comments on this thread really grated me!! Was unfair to single out ILD, no insult meant old fella ;) (1959 haha, i cant beat that!)

I just think people are almost expecting us to BE challenging for the champions league!! Its our first season up here, our players have been a revelation!!

what i don't like is our players being criticised for doing their jobs well. ILD, in my opinion, shows an enormous lack of knowledge of the position and role that morison plays and heavily criticises him on a regular basis for 'going out wide', so i will naturally disagree with anything he says which i think is wrong, which happens to be an awful lot when it comes to morison. we agree on many other things but morison seems to be one where we are at total opposites. i am quite within my right to tell ILD i think he knows jack, just as he is likewise to me. people can either agree or disagree with us or form their own view and post this as an alternative. there is no need to question people's loyalty but i totally understand why jeremygoss said what he did as ILD's views are very strange to the majority. not sure if that makes any sense but hopefully it does!! <laugh>

"Basic standards for us has to involve levels of respect for others and the need to avoid personal insults ............"

Them's the Board Rules guys. Shall we start a thread on interpreting them? In my book, the right way to reply to ILD is as longsight did at 05.09; a reasoned counter argument with not a hint of lack of respect. But then I'm just an old fogey.

Robbie, an old fogey you may be, but you make an awful lot of sense! Can we all just agree to differ, please! <ok>

i disagree that we should agree to disagree about disagreements where an agreement cannot and will not be agreed, or in other words, agreements agreed or disagreed with when disagreeing with the agreement ought to be agreed in principle before the agreement is agreed. i suppose what i'm saying is that i disagree we should agree to disagree else we would never agree to disagree on anything other than agreements rather than both agreements and disagreements.

    hope thats clear <ok>

When we were in the changing rooms last Sunday the wife was most disappointed for several reasons:

    1. It smelt of lemon disinfectant, no manly aroma
    2. Grant had not left anything laying around to nick
    3. There is a large tub of moisturiser on the wall in the bathroom (she then nicked a squirt so she could imagine Grant putting it on)

At this point I lost the will to live and wandered off into the press room.

He does go out wide a little bit too much for my liking only because it can become predictable, but he can draw defenders out and has a knack for being in the right place a right the time. I think the key to playing Morison and getting him in positions where he has a chance on goal, is by playing the likes of Pilkington and more importantly Fox who knows how to spread the ball out. Who we play in Midfield is the key to unleashing our strikers potential.

for me, fox is the key to our team playing well - i've been saying it for ages. he keeps it simple but he dictates the pace the team play at and everything goes through him, with his calm, controlled passing. i know he can't play all the time - there are occasions where brute force is required, but more often than most i would be inclined to build the team around david fox.

I'm up for contribution number 98. Could we say that Paul Lambert is A God. Because many people have said that Eric Clapton is God. Assuming you can have footballing gods and muscial ones? Don't want to start an argument with the musos or thats the concerts finished at Carrow Road, which of course, under the circumstances would have to be renamed Heaven.

I would just like you to find somewhere on this thread where I have told you (superman) that you don't know what you're talking about or that you know 'Jack'. We have crossed swords before and it's mostly been reasonable. But I don't know what gives you the right to come out with these statements just because I disagree with you or have a opposite view. I will repeat that you seem to think you are the boss man on here and anyone who has opposing views is in some way inferior.
Just so you are aware, I have watched and supported Norwich City probably before you were born. I played at semi pro level and represented my County (Norfolk). I also managed and trained semi pro teams. I also have a couple of F.A badges. Still I don't know 'Jack' about football!!!
For everyone else who thinks I'm in some way having a go at the team or club etc......

Paul Lambert is a fantasic manager and has my total and utter support.
Steve Morison is a valuable member of our team and club.
Grant Holt is a super star.
John Ruddy is a much improved keeper this season and deserves his place in the team.
Delia Smith has my undying love and thanks for saving my beloved club.
I love my club and will support it till I die.
I reserve the right to my opinions without being rude or insulting.
I guess thats about it, the only other thing I can offer is my blood and my club could gladly have some.

Try not to be a bully Superman.
