What have Del Boy and Rodders got to do with it?

May I just remind you that we have two fewer points in the Premiership than you have in the Championship, and that from 5 fewer games?

Crisis, what crisis? We were bad, Sunderland were good. Why everyone feels the need to point the finger at certain players I have no idea. I wonder how reactions will change if we beat Bolton at a cantor, will the same posters be praising the players they're currently sticking the knife into.

I know we're all entitled to our opinions, but why the sudden crying after one bad game? We hadn't lost a game in January, we're on 29 points and we're scoring goals. What more do you want?

I have to assume that you don't know the nickname for Bolton Wanderers! <doh>

Saying that though even Uncle Albert would have been faster than Crofts or Morison last night! <laugh>

Would like to see Vaughan get a run out soon.
I don't think Morrison played too well last night but to call him lazy is harsh, think of some of the shifts he put in before Christmas. Man u for example

This one bad game doesn't suggest anything. We could be brilliant against Bolton and beat them convincingly or play really badly. To say we are in some sort of crisis is ridiculous. The same players that played badly against Sunderland could be our best players in the next game. Also, we haven't had a bad game in ages, there is nothing to worry about. They will be making sure another bad performance doesn't happen.

agree wonky. some fans can't wait to throw their toys out of the pram when we lose a game. picking on players who have done really well this season. nothing wrong with crticising a poor performance but to say they are lazy or not good enough is daft - they have already proven this season that they are good enough, they just had a bad match, partly down to mistakes in our approach to the match amongst many other things i'm sure. maybe its cos we have become so used to winning over the past two and half years! god only knows what some people will be like if we lose to bolton on saturday...

...and we might! bolton have put a very good run of form together. going to be a very tough match. if we play poorly again, we'll get beat. i'm sure there'll be changes and a fresh impetus from those who come in. i'm hoping vaughan gets some game time too <ok>

    Agreed.

Also, someone posted that we may gain points where not expected and lose points where not expected. We gained an unexpected point against Chelsea and lost a point or three, whether expected or not, against Sunderland.

just shows how much sunderland have improved. i'd probably say they are the worst team we've played so far this season when they came to carrow road, yet i thought they were magnificent last night! apart from mclean i think it was basically the same team that played for them and i think we've improved ourselves since that match - not that you'd have known it from last night!!

Because I call Morison lazy I get bit from all angles? I pay good money to see Norwich every home game and some away I have more than an entitlement to an opinion. Morrisons done brilliant this season and surpassed anyones expectations of him and he's scored some vital goals for us to get us where we are in the league right now. Supermans right I think Jackson should get a start on saturday hes prob the most in form when he gets his chance

Why do we see Morrison flanking down the wing when his dribbling and first touch is not the greatest, if you notice he does tend to drift out wide when really he should be in the middle getting his nut on the end of it. To be fair he doesnt do this when we have width in the team whether he comes out wide to make space for Holt is another idea. Honestly I didnt bring this up just because we lost and he didnt have his best game it felt right to find out what other people thought? I'm buzzin how we've done well this season after 23 games we've lost the same amount as Arsenal who'd have thaught that before the season, Sorry if it came across all doom & gloom :emoticon-0107-sweat forgive me <magic>

No complaints re the green strip when we beat Koo Pee Arr. According to my son, all teams must wear the 'away' strip on at least 5 occasions a season. Hope this answers your question.

canariez, no need for apologies - its a forum for discussion! we can't agree all the time.

but from my point of view, the 'morison is lazy' comment is extremely naive. just because a player may look like he is not running about as much as others (and lets face it, holty runs about more than most so it makes him look worse) does not mean he is lazy. he is still working hard for the team, trying to find space or creating it for others. often the best players look like they aren't even trying. now i'm not comparing morison to a hoddle or a berbatov or anyone like that, but players have different styles.

likewise, to criticise a striker when he runs out wide is 9 times out of 10 wrong - because he needs to run out wide. if a striker just stayed in the middle all the time he'd never score a goal or create one. running the channels, especially when we have the diamond formation is incredibly important. it drags defenders out of position, it gives midfielders a different option and it creates space for others to run into, and without both holt and morison working the channels excellently all season we would not have scored as many goals as we have.

sorry if i come across as moaning but i get fed up with people who say he should 'stay in the middle' - no he shouldn't! its a bit like when people say 'don't go backwards' - sometimes you have to go backwards! we can all agree that sometimes his touch lets him down and his passing isn't great, but we are talking about a player bought for £2.8m. he is not messi! not that passing needs to be a strength in morison's game anyway, but didn't wesley, a player with great close control keep losing control and giving the ball away last night - it doesn't mean he can't do it - i've seen plenty of touches from morison this season which have been sublime, and he has very good tekkers most of the time. his goal against blackburn springs to mind!

nothing wrong with having an opinion of a player, but i will defend a player if i think you're wrong <ok>

Morison has been going wide most of this season. Lambert wouldn't let him do that if it wasn't working.

Why have we got Pilkington and Bennett, plus raiding full backs plus left and right sided midfielders?? When we've got a forward to play left wing. Come on Superman, his job is (and it's what he's best at) is in the middle. His control is just not good enough for him to play out wide and put crosses in. Thats my opinion!

Wonky, I can't disagree that his work rate is good when he plays up front on his own, but, there has to be a end product to that work rate, and his best chance to produce the end product is in the penalty area. He's forced into the middle when Holt plays, simply because Holt can control the ball, beat the defender and put in a cross. I want to see Morison in the box scoring goals, not trying to be a winger and seeing the ball go out for a throw in off his knee, ankle or anywhere else.
When I was doing my training we were told to pick one player, and watch him all through the game. A kind of stato. Try it with Morison and record the amount of mis-controls, mis hit crosses offsides etc, then you may see what I mean.
