Just not enjoying the site anymore? Some good people on there prefer the cricket forum to football one
Oh I’ll miss the cricket forum but the rest, not one bit

pointless posting to get the same old responses, going over the same banal things time and again

Just for info but tonight the first test match in New Zealand starts around 10pm UK time.

I’m hoping to watch the first session, streams pending and was wondering if anyone is following the series for England?

If anyone from over the road is looking in, I don’t post on there anymore but the cricket lads are overwhelmingly sound bar one or two and I expect they’ll have a thread going

could be a decent series this as New Zealand have a pretty good bowling attack as do we. Hopefully the batsmen can put scores on the board

I'm going to try and watch a bit, but may have to use highlights.

I've fair missed my cricket fix since the summer

Australia vs Pakistan 1st test starts in about 5 hours.

Pattinson out for Australia after alleged homophobic abuse towards another player in a Sheffield Shield match at the weekend.

It'll be interesting to see how 16yr old Naseem Shah performs on a hard Gabba pitch

See how Sibley goes. I've got a good feeling about Burns. He looks solid and it's about time we found two openers that can bat together. I'm not keen on Denly batting at 3. I think that spot still needs looked at. Pope is a quality batsman, let's hope he can do the business.

Interesting that we've gone with Curran instead of Woakes. Woakes is probably the more solid and safe option but he's also 30 now and Curran is only 21. Maybe we have one eye on the future. He also gives our bowling attack balance with his left arm seam bowling.

Having said all that, I see this as our test team going through a transition period so good consistent performances from individuals looking to break through is equally as important as the result.

New Zealand are a strong team covered in all areas. I'd be surprised if they don't win the series.

Imo England to win the series have to win the batting side of the game. New Zealand have a quality seam attack but I think our lads match up pretty well

it could come down to my old favourite of who scores more runs from wickets 5 to 10. This where the likes of buttler need to be at their best and turn scores of 200 for 6 into 380 to 450 all out.

as it’s freezing outside it will be relaxing watching a test in sunshine hopefully

Weather forecast appears excellent

It's a tad depressing seeing such a nice forecast when it's so cold and miserable outside :emoticon-0102-bigsm

Lots of learning to be had from these tests, hopefully the start of a new dawn where we concentrate on test cricket as much as the shorter formats

Not seen that one
And to rub salt into the wounds WA batted first and Wes bowled Ashton.

Can't imagine that theres been many first clas matches where one brother has both bowled and injured his own brother.

Should make for an interesting christmas lunch at the Agar household :emoticon-0146-punch

Lol. Do the marshes play in the same team?

Shaun and Mitch both play for the same team (Western Australia). Mitch is out for a while after braking his hand punching a wall after a dismisal against Tasmania last month.
