I worry about test cricket... a lot of tests are finishing before day 4 and this is not the way it should be. Its as if both sides are playing 2 one day games...Its kind of entertaining but its not the tradition or the soul of the game
Yes,I agree,I was perhaps being a bit harsh. I wonder if it'll mean that,if they can't sort the pitch, the ECB will be under pressure to ditch Lords? They didn't prepare that pitch mind. I think I might take a wicket on that.
Lord's has a big problem with the pitch. They have waffled on about it for years, but this might make them get on to sorting it.
If it was a County ground they could expect a points deduction. 33 wickets in two days is ridiculous.
It should do!Yes,I agree,I was perhaps being a bit harsh. I wonder if it'll mean that,if they can't sort the pitch, the ECB will be under pressure to ditch Lords?
They are 2 lucky lads thanks to the weather.Lost loads of time yesterday. Can’t work out why they haven’t started early today to get the overs back.
I know 2 lads with day 4 tickets!! Having a weekend in London then going to the test on Sunday.
Well… having a weekend in London anyhow!!
They’ll NEVER EVER ditch LordsYes,I agree,I was perhaps being a bit harsh. I wonder if it'll mean that,if they can't sort the pitch, the ECB will be under pressure to ditch Lords?
Hopefully they bat better than against Yorkshire last weekDurham doing well in the Blast here. Northants 72-4
Nor should they. But I think he might have meant until they sort the square out. But they won't do that either! They’ll NEVER EVER ditch Lords
What the actual was that from Clark was he not watching Northants batHopefully they bat better than against Yorkshire last week
Nice to see Sowter get a wicket![]()

Indeed. Even if Middlesex break whatever rules Durham did, and ten times worse!!They’ll NEVER EVER ditch Lords
Well no, but they also shouldn’t have punished Durham for simply as,in for help! But that didn’t stop themNor should they. But I think he might have meant until they sort the square out. But they won't do that either!
No, it was the ultimate stitch up. Durham had less debts than many other counties, at about £6m. This was originally to the Co-oP bank, who in their indifferent incompetence,(it was then run by a buggins turn ex grocer) sold the debt to an American PE entity. It was this mob who demanded payment at an unaffordable timescale.Well no, but they also shouldn’t have punished Durham for simply as,in for help! But that didn’t stop them
Yep. Utterly elitist in a nutshell! But even if the exact same happened at one of the “favourable” counties, it would’ve been swept under the carpet! No, it was the ultimate stitch up. We were punished for not having a sugar daddy, as in Yorkshire or Hampshire, or access to taxpayer's cash as in Glamorgan and Warwickshire. They wanted us struck off the test circuit, after demanding we built a ground that could hold tests.
Not something I'll forgive or forget.
