Worst fears coming true. We are witnessing the demise of the bazball strategy. As for the batting....some great bowling from the Bigheads...but,surely it's the end of Pope. I'm awaiting the smoke spirals. Bethell perhaps?
This is the problem - Bethell is the only one who could replace him. That's how **** the selection policy has been for this tour.

Who survives this latest debacle?

Duckett, Root, Brooks, Stokes and Archer?

You could argue the rest of them need binning off - Crawley and Pope certainly do.

Can't see Wood, Jack's or Carse staying in the squad. Question mark over Smith as well, needs taking out of the firing line, but he isn't first choice 'keeper for his County!

What an absolute shambles of a tour. Thanks England! Seriously looking forward to the watching the 1st 2 days of the last test now surrounded by gloating Aussies!

Heads should roll, who only takes 2 openers and 1 wicketkeeper to an away series? Then select a bowler who's been injured for the best part of 2 years? Pick an unknown kid years ago to build him up as your number 1 spinner only not to play him on a pitch that offers spin.

They pushed the best ever England bowler out of the side, yes Anderson's best days are probably behind him but he was still taking wickets and because of that Broad jumped before he too was pushed out.

Test cricket is just that - a test! You can't keep playing T20 tactics in it, sides are going to adjust to it and the Aussies have done that and England have come undone. We've signed posted for the last 2 or 3 years how we were going to play in this series - get quick bowlers to get after the batsmen and our batsmen will go after their bowlers. Thing is we don't have 11 Ben Stokes who might be capable of doing that. Duckett is out of form, Crawley and Pope have been found out in English conditions never mind abroad. Brook although a good batter keeps getting out the same way.

It was always going to be a long shot hoping that England would be still in it at Sydney so now this trip is going to be 2 days drinking in the sun and catching up with family but it could've and should've been so much more!

Yep,can't disagree with any of that. Even the field placings today were a shambles...what happened to attacking top of off stump with some slips in place... the Aussies did it,...we don't seem to learn and we then ****ed it,even though we had a bowler in Tongue who can do it. As much as I love Stokes,he's ****ed it up today and when this inevitable series whitewash is concluded, heads will need to roll.

Archer has got the second highest batting average for England so far, only Root ahead of him <laugh>

Another ton from the bowling of Jacks.

All a bit of a mess isn't it. Need a good clear out; Key, Baz, Stokes, Pope, Crawley and a few others.

Stopping up for the morning session
Come on England, couple of early wickets and we are back in this :emoticon-0110-tongu

Stokes having a bowl.
