End of a cycle. We built towards 2019 and the 2022 World Cups and instead of then refreshing the squad, we've clung on to the same old names.
I think Bairstow is done at International level across all formats.
He's been crap since he came back from injury. Definitely needs a good clear out, hope they are bold enough to do it

I think YJB gets a rough ride from us all - some of it is self inflicted with his grumpy attitude - but he's been an excellent servant to the English game, particularly at the start of the Bazball era, but you are right - he's not been the same player since his injury. He'll be 35 by the end of the summer, it's time to step aside IMHO

It was awful to listen to, a shame really as the Indian team spoke for themselves on the pitch, still hope the South Africans can beat them just to shut those b****y "pundits" up .
Had to watch the last 2 tours to India on mute. Cannot stand the overwhelming bias of the home commentators. I was brought up with the likes of Richie Benaud, Brian Johnson, CMJ and Jack Bannister. Honest, decent commentators who called it how they saw it - if anything, they were harder on their own nations than the opposition.

It's not just the commentators - who remembers when Virat was bowled through the gate by Moeen and refused to walk, so the umpires reviewed? <laugh>
