That no ball is going to cost us
It was very harsh mind. You could look at that a hundred times and not be certain. It's a blade of grass job.
But, like missed penalties...
Edit! Get in!
That no ball is going to cost us
They picked their team for the draw. Long batting line up to take time out of the game (imo anyway). Regardless of what they say. It looks like a team picked to bat for a long time rather than to score quickly. This innings is massive. England have to dominate and get 100+ lead. We should get some play tomorrow, but Sat likely wiped out so we need to be in a position to skittle the Aussies early on Sunday and chase down whatever target they set. Of course they will play for the draw and hope the weather wins them the Ashes
Agree - reminds me of 2005 when we replaced the injured Simon Jones with the express pace of Paul CollingwoodThey picked their team for the draw. Simon Jones was superb when fit. So he wasn’t superb very often! Loved watching him bowlAgree - reminds me of 2005 when we replaced the injured Simon Jones with the express pace of Paul Collingwood![]()
A foot further towards mid on and it’s four!! Just one of those thingsChucked it away there by Moeen, but he's done his job at #3
Much better to have Root coming out with 130 on the board instead of the usual 20

I’d have my shirt on if I was thereGreat innings. Let’s get a lead of 70-100 then put them back in.
Just seen a guy with his Sunderland shirt on in the crowd![]()
At the Cricket in Manchester? That’s a mag thing man.I’d have my shirt on if I was there
Does anybody else think that we might be watching Jimmy's last test?
He's bowled tidily as ever without being overly threatening - I can see Tongue coming in for him in the last test and the next test after that is not until January and it is India away.
He still needs 19 more wickets to reach Shane Warne's total and 11 to get to 700 so he may think to himself where better to finish than on his home ground in an Ashes test.
