Yeah agree. Australia will test him (assuming they can cobble a side together with some pace) and of course India away will provide another test, but the early signs are very, very encouraging

He can play the hook and pull shot well mind. But he gets it in the air, (over the ropes usually!) and that's a bit harder when they are quicker.

But he looks like he has everything.

Wish Stokes would trust himself more as a batter. It's as if he's gone full on Stuart Broad in an attempt to convince his team and the rest of us that slogging is the only way

Anyone else think Cooky should be opening the batting and not sat in a studio? Not sure how he'd cope with Bazball mind you

Yep. Ben scores quickly enough anyway. I think that balance will come, and especially when the team are more down for fewer runs.
 
Wouldn't have enforced the follow on. It's only day 3 - bat them out the game and put them in for an hour tonight with 500 to chase
