I have cousins in Australia, I woke up this morning to a picture of the Aussie bowling attack - the banter has begun!
Tell you what, I couldn’t stand Ponting on the pitch. Came across so arrogant. Fantastic player and probably one of those everyone wants in their side but not against them!! But he’s very good on TV.

I could listen to the cricket pundits far easier than the football ones. They do tend to become more reasonable once retired.
Weird isn’t it. Don Goodman, Lee Hendrie, etc etc are all diabolical to listen to. Don’t mind Neville but can’t stand Carragher! Think I Might be “scouserist”!!!

I DID start watching cricket at a very young age. Been obsessed with the game since I could walk.

Boyhood hero was Fred Trueman. I was shouted into the house by my mam to watch him take his 300th wicket. That was the record at the time, but God knows how many more he would have taken if he hadn't kept upsetting the authorities!
Aye. There's a lot more to talk about in cricket too. Football is a very simple game, which is why it's universally popular. But cricket has a thousand permutations in almost any test match.
