after Stokes & Arches batting I thought it might give us some hope & an early wicket, but that’s been wiped out, why hasn’t Stokes bowled?

This is going to be the 3rd tonking of the series and unfortunately can only see 2 more tonkings in Melbourne and Sydney.... grim times.....
Fair play to the Aussies who have been the better side all along apart from day 1 in Perth.....

Lack of a top notch spinner proves costly yet again, although we'd still have got done. The first two defeats have psychologically damaged too many of our players. Possibly only Stokes & Archer would get in this Aussie team...

I honestly don't think Archer would get into the team. He's excellent when he's got the desire to really have a go (the spell in Brisbane was quality) but it's not consistent enough. His first over in most spells is a real loosener and often includes a number of no balls or wides and that isn't good enough. Stokes would definitely get in. Whole hearted player who never takes a backward step. Unfortunately he's often had no support.

Boland or Archer? Hmm.

Bolands record is excellent (average of 18 in tests) and he creates pressure with his line and length and dries up runs which allows the others to take wickets. Archer (average of over 30 in tests) is so loose he would never fit into the system. Also Boland is only there to fill in for Hazelwood who would also comfortably keep Archer out. It's one thing to be fast but consistency is also important.
