I'm actually feeling a bit sorry for Cummins. He's a good man and an excellent bowler, but the captaincy seems to have become a bit much for him.

He’s should be helped by the experience in the team but Smith and Warner don’t seem to be helping, odious characters that they are.
Stokes looking deeply uncomfortable for a change. Suddenly the bounce has gone unpredictable.
Get a decent lead and this wicket may start to offer some unpredictability.

Fantastic day for Engkand, Aussies on their knees. Hopefully we blast it for 2 hours till lunch and then stick em back in. Hopefully there's cloud cover and the lights are on but no rain. Not much to ask lol. Come on England
What a cracking day for England.... everything executed to a tee.... bowled them out quickly and then scored a terrific rate to set up the declaration mid morning tomorrow after pummelling say 100 runs in a dozen overs....

This is where the current fashion for short, intense tours can backfire. Warner is hugely out of form but his potential replacements in the squad have no form at all because there are no other games for them to shine in.
Caravanning is a marvellous thing.

Some rain around Manchester this morning..... keep everything crossed that it buggers off and we get to start on time..... an hour of mayhem to add another 100 then get them in on a surface that is already showing signs of uneven bounce.....
