And stokes has a dodgy knee so he couldn’t bowl! However I thought it was a good idea because the game could have been wrapped up early

Wtf? Brook run out without facing a ball. Root played the ball to slip and called for a run that was never there.

Good stuff from these two. Root superb and Stokes playing a proper responsible innings to back him up.

All under control, don't panic ! Of bigger concern is Stokes left knee which looks totally knackered. Can't see him being able to bowl in the Ashes with it like that, which will really unbalance our attack. Top 3 a major worry against what is gonna be thrown at them this Sunmer, Crawley will get obliterated by them, Duckett better, but prone to that cut shot that gets him out, and Pope still not convincing and too often plays a dumb shot to throw his wicket away. Bairstow has to come back, but where will he bat ? Can't waste him against the new ball but with Root, Brook and Stokes shoe ins , does that mean dropping Foakes and handing Bairstow the gloves ? Just need Root to see this through, cos could get seriously edgy if he gets out with Stokes hobbling at the other end !
 
Ffs this is utterly clueless. Absolutely cruising and as a last resort they turn to Wagner and leg theory. After all the hard work Stokes and then Root just lob up catches and turn the game. Now Broad dies the exact same, ****ing as dumb as it comes. Thrown the Test away ! Be a miracle if we win now, Leach and Anderson ain't gonna get the runs , so completely down to Foakes !
 
Down to 14 to win ! Brilliant from Foakes, just stay in Leach, don't do anything except duck out the way and block. Come on
 
Ffs Foakes top edges to Deep fine leg and caught by Wagner. England need 7 runs with only Anderson and Leach left. Ffs. This is gonna hurt big time to lose this

What a shot from Jimmy lol ! Belts it for 4. 2 to win, 1 to tie lol. Leach gonna be on strike. This is insane, what a game. Every game with this England team is a thriller !
