Hes gonna be a big miss in the Ashes, and a big boost mentally for the Aussies. We desperately need Wood fit to offer that high pace option we will need. Jimmy has picked up a groin strain but says he'll be fit in a couple of weeks. We have announced the squad to face Ireland in the 1 off test prior to the Ashes and Bairstow is back in in place of Foakes. Harsh on Foakes and they've said that Jonny will keep wicket and bat at 7, which is a waste of him in my eyes. If he's in the same form as he was pre injury, he shouldn't be left batting with a weak tail. Not long to go now !
Is Archer on Rangers books as he keeps getting crocked Lol, really feel for the lad as he will be a big miss this summer

Such a shame about Archer, I was looking forward to seeing him having the Aussies jumping around. Bairstow has to play but I wouldn't leave Foakes out. Jonny to open the batting.

Sorry dear friend but we Aussies, as you say, are not bothered with jumping around.
It just wouldn't be cricket, would it?
Your bowlers are getting on .................... any new blood coming thru in the next decade:emoticon-0102-bigsm?

Jimmy Anderson is a world class bowler but his body is must be done by now.

This is rapidly turning into a nightmare, we really do need him fit and firing. To rub salt into the wound , we're getting Labuchagne nicely into form !

Just found out that Middlesex are playing Glamorgan in a T20 match at Northwood today- a short bus ride away from me.

Quite a game, too....

Glamorgan 238-3 off 20 overs
Middlesex 99-0 off 8 so far

Definitely would have gone if I'd known it was on.

127 to win from 10.5 overs

If ever you fancy a local game let me know. When they did T20s at Uxbridge it was a good laugh

Mmm England warm up game v Ireland while Aussies will warm up with World Test Final v India next week. Also Smith and Mini Smith been playing County cricket while our main players have been slogging it at the IPL. Not sure who's gonna be better prepared but we can't go into the 1st Ashes test with just 4 bowlers if Stokes is unable to bowl at all. Fingers crossed that Anderson, Wood and Robinson are all passed fit.
