Well done, Kiwi................. you get the chocolates.
Beating the Poms is good anytime but by one run, that's rubbing it in.
Knock em' about a bit more will ya ............. in the run up to the Ashes, we Aussies need all the assistance we can get.

I suppose that this is likely to happen more under Bazball.
At least this approach is making test cricket exciting to watch.
Obviously some of our dismissals were ridiculous and avoidable, but it's a brand of high risk cricket.

Aussies crush India by 9 wickets in the 3rd Test of their series. They are now guaranteed a place in the World Test Championship final which will take place 1 week before the Ashes commence ! Marvelous, just to get them into shape before facing us

First game of the season at Stratford upon Avon CC, v Handsworth CC in the Warwickshire Premier League (the Birmingham Premier League is the highest you can get round here, it’s the ones with professionals in the teams either full time or when their counties don’t have games). Shame they play in the same colours but Stratford batting.

I can see it from my house. And for £75 a year membership I can wander over to the clubhouse and drink heavily subsidised beer. It’s a stress buster.

Hes gonna be a big miss in the Ashes, and a big boost mentally for the Aussies. We desperately need Wood fit to offer that high pace option we will need. Jimmy has picked up a groin strain but says he'll be fit in a couple of weeks. We have announced the squad to face Ireland in the 1 off test prior to the Ashes and Bairstow is back in in place of Foakes. Harsh on Foakes and they've said that Jonny will keep wicket and bat at 7, which is a waste of him in my eyes. If he's in the same form as he was pre injury, he shouldn't be left batting with a weak tail. Not long to go now !

Also talk of Stokes not being able to bowl (just the one over in the IPL so far) and opening the batting.

He hasn't been able to bowl properly for ages now. The talk of opening the batting is bollocks, it's Duckett and Crawley. When yiu think that Bairstow will be batting with the tail and compare what he's done to Crawley, then you have to think Crawley is a very lucky boy. I think sticking in Jonny to open in the Ashes would be a waste aswell though, the power he possesses and what he can do in the middle order can be game changing. Its a conundrum, but we have to trust Stokes and McCullum. Do feel for Foakes though, he's done very little wrong, is the best glovesman and has scored some crucial runs in our recent victories.

Strange decision to drop Foakes. Mistake imo.
