l spent a number of summers throughout the seventies, watching test cricket at the SCG, seeing Lillee & Thompson at their best and can relate to this read.

Bairstow is the obvious one, Stokes has retired from 50 over cricket although they're hoping he reverses his decision. Not sure if Woakes is unavailable too. Wood is almost certainly being rested, can't have him missing the Ashes. So who would you be putting in apart from them at the moment ?

I'd forgotten Stokes had "retired" to be honest.
