Nuts stuff. Such a shame that the ground is half or even less full, especially after all the justifiable fuss about getting England playing tests in Pakistan again. Outfield looks incredibly fast and from what the commentators have been saying the bowling wayward to say the least. Still, fantastic numbers from England.

Just misses out on England's fastest ever century....... This is seriously nuts stuff........ great fun

I’m loving the 1950s style advertising, where the commentators have to give a sponsors message while some actors drink a cup of tea in the ground. Mega cheesy.

Bad light stops play with England just 3 runs short of the most runs ever scored in a single day's play anywhere ever ! Demented stuff. I'd like to know how they transported part of the M1 into the middle of the pitch !

Amazing from England - a record first day score even with the loss of 15 overs.

Got my ticket for the Ashes Test at the Oval yesterday. Can't wait.

Should be a good series.
Australian batsmen currently smashing double centuries.

I had Duckett (and four others) in my cab three years ago. They were playing Surrey at the The Oval and weren't doing very well. Dropped five of the Nottingham lads at the Pestana Hotel Chelsea Bridge. I picked them up in The Kings Road, Chelsea. They weren't playing very well! Great knock today though and well played England.
