I'm not that confident, definitely need a couple of wickets this evening, what price is the draw?
343 in 4 sessions on the flattest of flat tracks with an ultra rapid outfield. England would do that easily. All down to mentality. A positive result either way on this pitch would be something of a miracle, and entirely down to the Bazball/kamikaze modern England approach.
Fingers crossed.
Just looked it up - Bangladesh scored 595 and lost against NZ in Wellington a few years ago, so it would be a considerable new record if England were to do it. Concern is taking the wickets, Pakistan don’t have to go wild immediately to get these runs. It'd be quite a thing to score 650 in the first innings and lose.
Doubt they'll get all those in if required cos of the light near the end of play. Either way couldn't see them needing all those overs if they were to win. Its either bowl them out or they win, we can always go with a very defensive field if things start to look bleak !Only 266 behind with 23 overs and another day to play.......
Baz and Stokes are prepared to lose to give themselves a better chance of winning. It’s brilliant.Offering 343 on this pitch in that timespan is a massive gamble against a quality batting lineup...
Are you watching a different match mate? I have been watching Pakistan vs England? If India chase this down it will be the second highest scoring test ever, next to the timeless Test in Durban in 1939, 12 days of utter boredom except for the final session, in total contrast to this one…..

Two quick wickets would make it very interesting. Its been a cracking test match surely there is one more twist!Bad miss by Pope down the leg side. England badly in need of a quick wicket or two after tea.
