Was anyone watching the Women's cricket? I had it on with the sound down. England were 9 down with about 18 to get and the Indian bowler 'Mankaded' the non-striker. It looked disgraceful.
I was there at Lords, lots of dads having to explained what happened to their kids, absolutely the most disgraceful thing I’ve seen in cricket. India had bowled their best bowlers out and England's number 8 and 11 were just picking off the runs, the bowler Deepti Sharma (remember that name) knew she wasn’t a good enough bowler to take a wicket took the mankab, offered by the umpires to rescind the appeal, but no. Indians probably born in England around me celebrating like they won the world cup in a series already won.Was anyone watching the Women's cricket? I had it on with the sound down. Easy rule change to sort out this anti sport habit - you can’t be out the first time the Mankad is tried. If you don’t learn tough luck. Can’t have freedom to back up halfway down the wicket.I was there at Lords, lots of dads having to explained what happened to their kids, absolutely the most disgraceful thing I’ve seen in cricket. Totally a disgraceful play, Indian cricket should be ashamed

But Charlie Dean wasn’t halfway down the wicket but had just left in line with the bowler who clearly had no intention of bowlingEasy rule change to sort out this anti sport habit - you can’t be out the first time the Mankad is tried. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a pathetic thing to do, but as the rules stand, tough luck. As I said above it’s easy to fix, and the more ‘professional’ sport gets the less you can rely on people to do the right thing. But Charlie Dean wasn’t halfway down the wicket but had just left in line with the bowler who clearly had no intention of bowling
Totally pathetic and clearly pre-meditated as she slowed at the crease before turning. I have seen bowlers stop and warn a batsman before which is fair enough if liberties are being taken but that was totally unsportsmanlike. I certainly wouldn't have shaken hands at the end...

Wasn’t it you who didn’t mind the fix when England and Argentina stopped playing in a Sevens match in Toulouse to guarantee that they both went to the next round?I'm surprised by this response from you.
You always moan about the time wasting in football, much of which is within the rules, but you're not so bothered about this.
I agree that a warning rule should be introduced, but this bowler was a disgrace.
Hopefully to leave the bat trailing in the crease while backing up ! While unsportsman like , there was no reason for her to be that far down the wicket with so many balls left. What nobody knew at the ground was whether a warning was given, certainly didn’t look like one was. The problem is Deepti ****face was within the laws of the game but way out of the spirit of the game. With so many kids and particularly young girls watching, what will they take from this incident
It would've been classified as a hate crime by many !Can you imagine the uproar if an English cricketer - male or female - had done the same, be it against Australia, India or the Windies?
I actually think there would be at least disappointment at the very least if this had happened, up to the level of shameCan you imagine the uproar if an English cricketer - male or female - had done the same, be it against Australia, India or the Windies?
