Cricket really doesn't do itself any favours...

Umpires call it off for bad light with England 97/0 only needing another 37 runs to win series....... madness.

Absolute ****ing joke. Finish it tonight in front of a full house.
It was ridiculous taking them off yesterday and that's the standard they've had to adhere to.
But surely a little common sense should preva?
Would SA seriously want to come back tomorrow with the game gone?
Now the game will finish in an empty ground.

What a fabulous day, and what a cracking atmosphere. Brilliant days entertainment which would've been capped off if they'd have let England get the remaining 33 runs, but as Col said they ****ed it up yesterday and couldn't change tack today. Will live long in the memory. Need to recover my voice from Oh Jimmy Jimmy now incase the Millwall game is on as meant to be going to that too. Not quite as enthused at that prospect though lol

Brought home easily. It’s funny how a target of 130 becomes a walk in the park, but 70 or 80 more would have entailed real tension.

The England schedule from now until then is completely insane. Hopefully Anderson and Broad are excused and given a winter to rest in preparation for the Aussies. They re still crucial.

Broad's wife is due to give birth to their first child soon so he is expected to be rested for the Pakistan tour. Anderson may well be given it off too, with a few fast bowlers due to cone back from injury. Hopefully Wood is available and doesn't break down yet again. Mahmood should be fit too and Overton, but it's our spinners or lack of them that will obviously be key !

Superb knock from Harry Brook in the T20 today, 81 off 35 balls. This boy's a top player.

Fantastic innings from Brook against Pakistan in the third T20. Not bad from Ducket too.
    Brook: 81 from 35 balls.
    Ducket: 70 from 42 balls.
    221-3 from the 20 overs.

    New look England looking good.

Looked good yesterday too until their openers knocked off 200 ! Hopefully we can defend the score better today and get their openers out.

Pakistan 75-4, only 13 runs behind England at the same stage…..

….now need 95 from 4 overs. Should be ours, surely?

I watched the last six overs. Glad we won but can’t say this format does much for me.

Agreed, but I'd still like us to win the WC.

That was fairly emphatic coming off the back of a 10 wicket hammering yesterday..... Good to see Wood back and bowling at express pace.....

Mark Wood is a key bowler in every format for us, such a shame about his injury record. Without Archer he has that express pace that makes such a difference to any batsman. No one likes it up em. Hoping he's fit for the T20 World Cup but praying he will be when the Ashes rock up.
