Just feel that tail is too long, Curran not good enough to have to hit 20 odd at the death against decent bowlers. We had alot of bowlers today so maybe out 1 for Duckett to bat , Ali is too hit and miss and more tines it miss, so put him lower down and Duckett in at between 3-6. Beat the US and you'd hope we'd sneak into the Semi's but tge US have played some excellent stuff so not gonna be easy.

Here’s an idea, send the cricketers to Germany and the footballers to the West Indies and then we can have a real laugh.

Rather than just the sickening inevitability of English professional sportsmen underperforming in their chosen code.

At least the cricketers have won 2 major trophies in the last 5 years, how long since the footballers have ?

A bit harsh considering that the cricketers have won three world cups in recent years.

The footballers, and in particular their manager, are an embarrassment though.

A final, a semi final and a quarter final in the last three tournaments? Hardly embatrassing, and better than the "Golden Generation" of Beckham, Lampatd, Gerrard et al ever achieved despite all their success at club level. Yeah, the football is ****e, and the manager is overly cautious, but we have no divine right to be trouncing every team out there, and the record is hardly embarrassing

It was a poor joke, but to be honest the cricket world cups in various formats are so frequent that I lose track. And interest. Haven’t watched a minute of this tournament. Slog, bowl wide, slog, bowl wide….meh

Still bottled them all though.

As Alan Hansen (nearly) said “You’ll never win anything with Harry Kane”.

Wow, Afghanistan turn over Australia !! Gulbadin unreal. If the Aussies don't beat unbeaten India and Afghanistan beat Bangladesh then the Aussies will be out. Great scenes and happy for Trott, who's doing a fantastic job as their coach. They also have Dwayne Bravo as a bowling coach now.

As Max Walker would say ...........By cricky by jingo by golly gosh, too many soft cocks in the team, nowadays.
If there not sipping cafe lattes, their waxing their legs in the West Indies sunshine.
The real men have retired to the pub for schooner or two and a sausage sizzle with some burnt onions and a bit of dead horse ( sause ).

Hat-trick for Chris Jordan against USA.

England need 116 in 18.4 overs to get through to the semis. Should be a breeze.

Great performance that, quality. Rashid was superb again and Jordan 4 wickets in 5 balls with a hat trick. Buttler at his destructive best. Who'd have thought when the Aussies blitzed us that we'd be sat in the Semi's and they'd be on the verge if elimination ! It's a funny old game Saint

Remarkable stuff from Rohit Sharma against the Aussies, 89 not out after ten overs.

India 114/2 and heading for a mammoth score.
