Not sure it would have been this sporting if we had Stokes and Buttler in the side.
First priority will be not to lose. It would be nice if we were only one or two down at tea and could have a proper go at it after.
As you said yourself, with a couple of the missing players we might have tried…..and we might not have been given the opportunity.
I think New Zealand warrant more than two test matches, they are better than Sri Lanka, Pakistan & on par with South Africa but it’s always only two when we play them
It might be moving but there is no excuse for Crawley’s feet anchored in concrete waving the bat effort. **** me, it’s like he’s never been coached, even to a basic level.

I was out with the dog too, and haven't seen Crawley's dismissal yet. A number of England's batsmen have technical issues.

Crawley’s dismissal was on a par with Lawrence’s in the last match. Jaw dropping for specialist test batsmen.
