First hour has flown by.....

England added 32 runs and list the wicket of Burns.....

259 runs or 9 wickets to win..... too close to call at the moment.....

Such a poor decision to go for that single.
It was incredibly tight.
Excellent fielding though.

Hameed needs to make up for that with three figures.

India will think that getting Root out means they win.
 
237 needed of 63 overs at 3.8 an over.....

Doable as long as England have the mindset to go for it..... if they go into their shells and simply look to defend then I think India will win.....

Yep, agree.
Hameed can carry on blocking as long as Root, Pope and Bairstow play positively around him.
No point playing the game if you don't try to win these.

If we lose another 2 or 3 in the afternoon session then we may try to shut up shop, but I'd like to see us go for it.
To be fair to Root, he always keeps the score ticking over so the longer he bats the better.
 
Root showing his intent straight away with reverse sweeps, but Hameed bowled by a good one from Jadeja spinning out of the rough.

It's a shame Stokes isn't available, I think we would have a better chance of 'going for it' with him out in the middle.

With Pope going early the game must be hugely in their favour. I can't see anything but an India win now.

Especially now!!!! Bairstow gone straight away.

Stokes and an in form Buttler would have given us much more of a chance.

All over now I reckon.
 
Agree, the run-out started things off. But it feels like England, in this instance, are being bowled out rather than making poor shots.
Can’t see any way back for England now - even a draw would be a success now. Damn!!!
