Good pressure from the Windies after Stokes went, the tailenders couldn't handle it. Poor decision regarding Curran, I could see that it was going over the stumps from here without the need of a replay.
Disappointing to lose, but I enjoyed how much it meant to the Windies players and crowd. Cricket needs a vibrant West Indies.
I still enjoyed it too and it keeps it interesting but I think cricket is on the wane in the West Indies.
Well it has been for a while, but things are looking up a bit recently. You going to any games in the summer? I've got a ticket for the Ashes Test at the Oval and Ireland at Lord's.
Nothing planned as yet, but I'm sure I'll get to go to Lords or and or the Oval for the Ashes at some point. This year is all a bit up in the air at the moment as I have so much on on the domestic front. I'll let you know. I forgot to mention your comment on West Indies cricket. I agree that we need a vibrant West Indies both on the pitch and in the stands. Tonight brought a bit of that back and it looked good spirited among both sets of supporters afterwards despite the majority being English. I remember meeting Joel Garner after the second test at Lords in 1984 and being completely overawed. He was my hero at the time as I use to bowl a bit for the school back then. In fact I got a bat ( only made of cardboard unfortunately ) signed by that side who were arguably one of the greatest cricketing sides ever. Maybe Ponting's Aussie team bested them later on but as a young lad that West Indies team were pound for pound the best ever team from Greenidge and Haynes through to Garner and Holding.
Look for me when you all are the world cup this summer. Cause I'm there!!! I'm a volunteer driver again...based at lord's...and get your tickets fast as England ...and the Indian match tickets are going fast.. Sent from my STF-L09 using Tapatalk
You better have patience, the way TfL are f*cking up Central London's roads at present you'll need a helicopter...
England cutting loose in the fourth one-dayer against the Windies. Incredible hitting from Buttler in partnership with Morgan. Heading for 400.
Windies deja-vu for Stokes. They're right up with the rate and England are going to need to get Gayle out soon.
Incredible hitting. Before the start, Jeff Dujon said he thought 270 would be a par score! England need wickets fast, or this could be gone.
