Coyle's done one...

Blackburn Rovers wish to announce that manager Owen Coyle has left his role at Ewood Park by mutual agreement.

Assistant manager Sandy Stewart, first team coach John Henry and goalkeeping coach Phil Hughes have also left the club.

The decision has been taken in order to give the club the best possible chance of climbing to a position of safety in the Championship in the remaining 15 games, which starts with the big trip to Burton Albion on Friday night.

The club would like to place on record its thanks to Owen and his staff for all their efforts this season and we wish them well for the future.

The search for a new manager will begin with immediate effect.

No further comments will be made at this stage.

Our owners are bad enough, but these fans certainly are having to put up with some ****e. Sherwood might get the job, at least he can say he used to wear a shirt with a Cockerel on it, might impress the Venky's

Isn't Sherwood Swindon's manager? Seems an unlikely sideways (and 200 mile north) move.

They might have to do a Wolves/Leicester/Norwich/Southampton and drop down to clear out some of the crap clogging up the club. They'd be better off getting a manager from a league lower down to get the fighting spirit going.

The only thing they need to clear is their owners. Blackburn are in the basket case category of owners that don't give a ****.
