Is this more virulent and more deadly than Hong Kong Flu from 1968?

I think many will now start to draw a line in the sand, enough is enough as it were, especially with the second wave incoming in September with even harder lockdown rules and house arrests, time for everyone to evaluate whether the cure is worse than the disease, as I see it we had better get prepared for the confrontations, on the North Gower road we do what we want anyway, no plod down here to speak of, thankfully.....................<laugh>

Perhaps Sweden has the right idea (controversial, I know). Just carry on as normal and let coronavirus take its course.

That's what would happen in the animal kingdom. Birds, for example, don't have the collective intellect for a national lockdown or put sick birds on a ventilator, or wear bird masks.

    COMMON COLD

There are also a lot of viruses that doctors haven't identified. About 20%-30% of colds in adults are caused by these "unknown" bugs.

    How and When They Strike
Cold viruses have a lot in common, but each type has its own style, too.

Rhinovirus. This bunch is most active in early fall, spring, and summer. They cause 10%-40% of colds. You'll feel plenty miserable when you catch one, but the good news is they rarely make you seriously sick.

Coronavirus. These tend to do their dirty work in the winter and early spring. The coronavirus is the cause of about 20% of colds. There are more than 30 kinds, but only three or four affect people.

RSV and parainfluenza. These viruses cause 20% of colds. They sometimes lead to severe infections, like pneumonia, in young children.

We all get the common colds each year and considering that 20% are of the coronavirus strain, then it is highly likely that most of the UK population has had this Coronavirus, so what is the point of testing? because pretty much everyone will show positive!..............<ok>

Schools in Wales have been told that when we go back, we'll have until the end of September to make sure online teaching platforms are up and running and ready to go.

I personally think we'll be back in lockdown by the October half term date.
