Looks like we should all start smoking or wearing nicotine patches - findings in France, China and the US appear to show that whilst the percentage of smokers in the population is higher (eg US 14%) the percentage of smokers admitted to hospital with COVID 19 is much lower (eg US 1.3%)

In France there’s a trial where medics and patients are given nicotine patches.

But is that because smokers often have COPD and are in harder lockdown? Or their lungs are already coated with tar so the virus can't get a hold!!! Interesting though.

With all the modern Science and Technology of the Western World in 2020, both Britain and America are looking like impotent fools at the hand of a humble virus bug, it beggars belief that we are in this sad situation, all because greed and money comes before collaboration and common sense. Without doubt this Short-sightedness is truly costing them now, if it was not for all the warnings given by many, including Bill Gates, I would have some sympathy, but I have none, except for those they have put in an early grave, and it is all symbolised by PPE!........................<ok>

To make change you need to be in a position of power. To get power you need ambition. Ambition (usually ruthless to some extent) is a form of greed. Greed begets greed. This is human nature. Nothing will change. If anything the human race is going backwards.

BBC today:

“A businessman has donated £20,000 to an NHS charity to help patients and staff during the pandemic.

Sir Stanley Thomas, a property developer and the founder of Peter’s Pies in Bedwas, Caerphilly, made the donation to Cardiff and Vale Health Charity, the official charity of Cardiff and Vale University Health Board.

Sir Stanley said the donation was an “appreciation to the wonderful work that is being done on a daily basis by our fantastic NHS staff”.

He added: “Their contribution is far greater than anything I can give, however I hope that others that have been fortunate in life and are in a position to donate will also do so.”

The health board’s chief executive Len Richards said he was “so grateful”, adding: “Our staff are working exceptionally hard and knowing they have access to funds that can supply those little extras to make a difference in their working areas gives a real boost."

A nice gesture from Sir Stanley - wonder if Barnes will comment on this, especially since Stan and his brother Peter have a joint wealth of £228m (May 2019).... Bale has wealth of c£100m (2020)

As most of those structures appear to be metalic, then electrify them. They could even put up a big sign warning they're electrified, so that when the dimwit cvnts fry themselves they only have themselves to blame. Win-win.

With most of the world accepting lockdown means not going out unfortunately the news rags have got to find some trash to write about from somewhere...stopped buying western fail over four weeks ago once the Swans stopped 0laying as there was nothing else to read in it....and no I don’t buy the local evening post as that news is almost 5he same as the paper above......

Well if you had a doubt that Trump was a senile old bat, doubt no more, because Trump Dettol injections are going into production, they are guaranteed to kill Covid-19, and it's host!...................<laugh>
