A good read but the raid really didn't achieve a great deal other than a great loss of life both in terms of bomber crews and civilians .
Yes - I’ve read a couple of books on it. Met a guy on holiday one year who’ bought at auction a signed menu card of the A V Roe dinner that the returnees attended.

I was reading a book that contained a photo of the attendees of that dinner - I gave him the book.

The following year, we returned to the same hotel and that guy (Mike Oliver) was there - he called me the Welsh Dambuster <laugh>

You seem to have led an interesting life <cheers>

Hate to point out the obvious, but UK has not embarked on the testing campaign because it would rapidly become apparent that we do not have the capacity. That would then lead to awkward questions about the wisdom of running down a country’s health service.

Far better to divert with Dunkirk, mass volunteer campaigns and hand clapping nonsense. Meanwhile our loved ones that work in the NHS are being sent like lambs to the slaughter without protective gear. -John Test

Here are the words of one Gaurdian reader that has been up voted as one of the best comments the news media received from one of it's readers, and I have to admit he is spot on with regard to the issues of how both mainstream parties are run by utter morons.

Talking of morons, I had to make a first supply trip out yesterday early morning, and I was staggered to see so many morons out jogging, cycling, chatting in groups around the west cross, mumbles area in particular, I fear that we will see some serious deaths here in Wales in the coming weeks and months.........<ok>
