I thought I had time-travelled back 10 months when I read that bit Yorks. I thought it was interesting that all the injuries and illness talk that Warburton gave last season (and was criticised heavily for here) is already resurfacing this season with MB.
I think to be fair MB has changed things around to get wins in previous matches this season - so he has shown the ability to change things when needed. As was mentioned when the line-up was shown before the match, many of us thought the bench was light and would struggle to impact the game. MB has left substitutions late in a couple of games now, which has been baffling. I could understand, with this being the last game before a long break, that he might feel his 11 on the field might be better than he has available on the bench - but it does show the impact of losing a large number of definite starters.
I’m hoping that MB can give the team a hard reset during the break and boot them up for 11th Dec. I still prefer him over MW, so I’m rooting for him to get us back on track. (I hope that’s not a kiss of death - I always thought Ray Wilkins would be a good coach ).
