Doesn't mean he'll come though...

From his agent from a romanian website

"Costel Pantilimon, keeper of Manchester City, neasteaptata reacted when it was offered by a newly promoted Premier League club.

Ad Departure from City, recently made Pantilimon has sparked interest in Albion. Hull City is the first club that offers the novel, just as it was felt offended.

"Pantilimon has received an offer from Hull, but I threw it in the trash first! Have money, but how to go there. Should be a better team: He wants to go to a team where they play. Than from Hull, Vaslui better, "said Florin Manea, Pantilimon's agent at GSPTV.

Pantilimon has a salary of £ 400,000 per season at Manchester City, but he wants to leave because in the last three years did not get to debut in the Premier League.

Maybe he shares his agent's opinion but that isn't very nice is it. That's the problem with foreign players, they only see us as a stepping stone or a step down as they come here only knowing about 5/6 clubs in the league.

Well if that is in any way accurate he clearly will not be joining us.

Surprised to see that everyone seems to think this would be a great signing, Pantillmon has been average at best on all the occasions I have seen him, regularly parries what should be comfortable saves, from memory in the 3-2 defeat to Man Utd at the Etihad he was particularly poor. To be honest, I doubt there's anything in this anyway.

**** i was getting excited until i saw that.

Ive got to be honest i have never heard of the bloke but some on here seem to think even though he hasn't made his premier league debut he would be a brilliant signing, they must have seen him play, As for Mcgregor again i have not seen him play until he was mentioned a few weeks ago then i watched him the other night and he had a good game but in all honesty i have not taken much notice or seen enough of him to judge him

mcgregor was awesome for rangers

Fraser Forster anyone? It's a risk, with him being unproven at EPL level. But he's done a decent apprenticeship at a lower level. Could be ready for the step up in class? <whistle>
