Damn this ref is bad. I'm watching the Sevilla vs Valencia match. He's booked so many people, sent a player off. He also gave a pen to Sevilla even tho it was the striker that ran into a defender.

I watched Top Gear. It gets more rehearsed ever time, but against my better judgement, my finer feelings, manners, in fact everything that I wouldn't put up with in any other part of life, I still find it entertaining. It is my brain in neutral TV programme.

I think they're now actually being very purposeful about making it look scripted. The fact that it's all so over the top has become a joke in itself, and I think they've played it quite well.

Yep, I agree. I think the programme is utter genius, and I hate myself for realising it. It is entirely the opposite to what I would normally enjoy. It doesn't challenge, it doesn't make one question [except one's motives for viewing] and it doesn't inform. It merely entertains, but it does it very well indeed. I've even forgiven it for not having motorbikes in there occasionally, like they used to.

There was one particular moment last season which took a hilarious jab at people who take the programme to seriously. Jeremy introduced a clip by saying he was driving a particular car (can't remember which) through the countryside of Hertfordshire and then through the town of Letchworth. When the clip started it was immediately evident that the mountainous countryside was clearly not Hertfordshire, and the old village with steep, cobbled roads clearly was not Letchworth. The reaction afterwards from people who didn't realise it was a wind-up was hilarious.

Edit: found an article on it - http://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/lo...eremy-clarkson-s-hertfordshire-claim-1.110518

Yeah, I remember it. I think even you said... That's not Hertfordshire. Or Dan said it. ;)

@AP: Spanish university student goes into a comatose state after eating birthday cake baked with marijuana, officials say: http://t.co/c1akRw17yP

I'm not surprised. 30 years ago you could do the same an have a lovely time, but with the strength of some of the Mary-Jane varieties today, that is an absolute no-no.

And no, I do not partake. The last puff I may have had would have been before 2005, and that occasion might have been well after the occasional alleged puff in the 1970s and 80s. ;)

No release date yet? Just finished AC4 so I need something new.

Nope sadly. I'm getting Thief this month which is out the 27th I think and i am getting InFamous Second Sun next month.
