My wife works in a school and they had an inpromptu meeting today to say that they can get vaccinated. She went online and after trying other dates suddenly got one for tomorrow. I'm surprised she's getting one already as I would've thought that others would be in the queue before her, but if they're telling her she can then I won't complain.
That's good news. If you're invited to have a vaccination then there shouldn't be any question of queue jumping or whatever it could be called. In a few months every one will have been offered one anyway. Which brand of vaccines are you being offered in Germany?
NHS I messaged the GP's couple of weeks to check if they had taken the wifes health condition into account and they never bothered to let me know that over 60's could now book appointments direct .
I don't think you've ever told us how old you are until last night when you said your wife was over 60. I feel like I could have helped sooner. At least you're on your way now. I was going to say if the letter was from your GP, you should call them about an appointment and if one was available sooner, book it and cancel the online one. Looks like your GP really isn't being very helpful at all.
to be fair they are pretty overwhelmed as there is only 2 partners and a locum and i at least 1 of the partners is part time these days .
well yeah they do seem a bit blase about us probably because we rarely bother them unless something is actually really wrong .
Had my first vaccination yesterday at Warrington Hospital. I was very impressed with the efficiency of all concerned. I had the AZ variety and don't have any side-effects whatsoever. According to MITO, I therefore have no immune system and will die very soon. It must have been a placebo
yup. you should be panicked. you've got the rule brittania version (with the special union jack passport and of course new global health card that works nowhere) the one with the convienent extra studies non jockville that prove is works for oldies despite the fact its proven ineffective for the SA variant and unknown for brazil variant. Add that to the fact you breezed through without grown a third leg MUST mean you are fecked totally. you should book for the 3rd vaccination doe in september now mate
Once again i will point out that is not proven .All the study of 2000 people with the average age of 31 showed that it is was ineffective at preventing mi;d to moderate illness .
thats a fair study size, If that was part of the initial clinical trial date in phase 2 the product would not have got to market at all How many peoepl do you want tbe studied before admitting a concern?
fine so that study proves it protects against severe illness then according to that logic . oh btw But health experts say while the new variant has affected South Africa's initial vaccine plan, all is not lost - and 100,000 older nurses and other health workers will still be given the Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccine as part of a new trial. This is because they believe that the vaccine may still be effective in preventing severe illness and go some way to reducing the number of people who need to be admitted to hospital for treatment.
Nah. Should have kept my gob shut. I'm really achy now and feel very shivery, so it wasn't a placebo. Just asked the boss if I can clock off a bit early. I need to get some ale and weed in me
cool story. we should all try this at work. Now that you know you have some immune system you can come out of that hermetically sealed bubble can get some carling in. aka horse piss. full of bugs that.
The EU via Italy have blocked export of az vaccine to Australia. The question is where was it made and by what law do they think they have the right. Ignoring anything else it seems like the EU have firmly dispelled any myth of ethics and efficiency with their handling of vaccination.
