But my main argument has not been about mortgage, council tax and utilities and never has been, as I said earlier neither have I used Farage to support my argument - anyone that has read my posts will know all that. Although I did write about incentives in the early days of DD's and the loss of jobs.

I also don't dispute the use of card payments, but all customers should be given a choice, those choices are gradually being removed. My football club has gone cashless, some pubs are going cashless, new venues are going cashless, car parks are going cashless, trains will be cashless once all the ticket offices close, Dartford Toll went cashless, that is not a choice.

Cashless advanced 10 years due to covid, the card companies were already paying incentives for retailers to go cashless before covid, I can't be arsed to look it up, but I know they got fined for it.

Now though it's being railroaded through by the banks and card companies because they have their own financial agendas, this will also leave a digital footprint to everything, which also could aid a government and the authorities, whatever it's future intentions. As I've said in the past, the Canadian government showed it's intentions in that area over protestors.

France couldn't replace their surveillance cameras quick enough during the riots, as stated by their mayor, imagine what they will be like once everyone has gone digital.

Edit: I should add, when cards first came in, shops had to keep payment vouchers so your card details could be wanded through if the systems went down, I doubt any retailer has these vouchers anymore - which means when the systems go down, everyone is fooked.

true story this forgot to take my card and cash out of pocket the other before it went in the wash….cash looked the same perfect my card wouldn’t work in cash points….cheap as fk

Also girl I know who won lotto recently received letter given her the ability to only withdraw ex amount of cash per year …..your money that’s being lent out again to someone else as credit is not available as you want it <laugh>

this world is mad if you can’t see the clear and obvious reasons of why this is great for authoritarian governments but devastating for the general population, our continued hope of holding onto the freedoms our relatives thought they died for over two world wars is rapidly becoming an from our generation to bury the heads and pretend alls fking fine and dandy

I would guess that 70-80% of peoples weekly/monthly outgoings are done digitally. So like it or not, that money doesn’t exist in ‘hard currency’

the rest, in the main a choice is still offered to use cash or card.

He don't listen (or at least read) you are right, I've given him a list of things where circumstances state I cannot pay in cash. Everytime I leave or enter Kent my car reg is tagged, unless I use the M25 Heathrow section. I don't even use my car to certain places now, because the car parks have gone cashless. Some venues (bars and restaurants) in Kent are now cashless, plenty of media reports about it as well, my football club is completely cashless. He don't care because he's not bothered, which is fair enough but he can't paint this as a conspiracy, so he just will not concede the point.

Soundslike utter bullshit to me unless she signed that she wanted the payments in stages

There is no argument or point to concede. Thought it was a discussion? I just highlighted that 70-80% of my outgoings are not in cash, that my choice is to use digital payments.
Others feel it’s a move to digital only society, I don’t agree.

I like it, you dangle the carrot because someone has an opposing opinion.

I've no problem with an opposing opinion, I concede on many points raised, as I said you are an absolute tosser. Because you couldn't shout it out as a conspiracy theory you chose to undermine my opinion, even bringing Farage into the debate, when I hadn't even mentioned his name or even alluded to it. I think Abe has called you out right many a time, you don't listen, you don't read, you don't concede on points, you're just a bellend and that's why you come here - the sole purpose of undermining. I leave you with the last reply kunt.
